About Just Us Rhythm-N-Motion

Just Us Rhythm -N- Motion, Inc. is a group of fun loving people that have a passion for the dance. Through dancing this interaction has caused us to become close friends. We believe in having fun by expressing ourselves through dancing which has been our tension reliever from our daily activities and a source of needed exercise. Each member brings their own individuality that includes friendliness, no nonsense, infectious smiles, loving hugs, caring spirits, and the willingness to help. We are like a family always having love for one another that overflows to everyone.

Mission Statement

"Our Mission statement is to enable you to express your passion and individuality through dancing with elegant style and grace.  Our dedication is developing talent through teaching, recreational, and competitive levels. We will encourage you to continue the pursuit of dancing but our ultimate goal is to have Fun while learning to dance."

 

Our Vision 

"Our vision is mentoring the youth. In 2006, Just Us Rhythm -N- Motion, Inc., established  the Accomplished Achievers Scholarship program. This scholarship is to provide financial assistance to High School "Seniors" that has an accumulative G.P.A. 2.0 - 2.9." 

As of 2016 we are offering "Bobby G. Sanders Memorial Scholarship┬«" (BGSMS), in memory of our member Bobby Sanders, who went home to be with the Lord October 2015.  The "BGSMS" is awarded to a High School "Senior" with an accumulative G.P.A. 4.0 or higher.

 

Just Us Rhythm -N- Motion was formed September 7, 2002. Our first classes were held at the East Cleveland YWCA. Due to the revamp of the "Y" in August of 2003 the group relocated at the Salvation Army on Grovewood Ave in Cleveland Ohio. Blessings being bestowed upon the group we found solace in September 2004 at Bally's Total Fitness Severance Town Center in Cleveland Heights Ohio. Due to Bally's financial situation (bankruptcy) in September 2012, our eight (8) years stay became a temporary relocation to FitWorks at Hilltop Plaza, Richmond Heights Ohio. As of April 2014, our interim location was Fairhill Partners, 12200 Fairhill Rd Cleveland Ohio.  As of August 2017, our new location is 13001 Cedar Rd Cleveland Heights Ohio, formerly known as Grace Lutheran Church. 

 

Our current members of Just Us Rhythm -N- Motion consist of Mel Brister Valia Brown Michael Caldwell Sonya Coggins Shirley Cook Glenn Ford Jonathan Gilliam Eugene Harvey-Bey Jeff Isler Ron Jackson Linda Jordan Jewel Faye Kelly Catherine Liggins Shana Marbury Leo Martin Corwin Reynolds Linda Sams Gwen Sanders Heather Springer.

Our honoree members are Bobby Sanders (deceased) Valarie Brown Larry Evans Carletta Glenn Shelia Hall Darral & Jeanette Lee Mary Sams-Morgan Shamika Sams Marva Wheeler and Booker Wison.


We firmly believe that when God bless you that you must become a blessing to others therefore, Just Us Rhythm -N- Motion began to operate as a non-profit incorporation in May of 2006. Now operating as Just Us Rhythm -N- Motion, Inc.,® a 501 (c)3 organization. One of our vision and concerns is exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. In the school year of 2006-2007, the Accomplished Achievers Scholarship® was available only to the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The following school year of 2007-2008, the scholarship became available for the greater Cleveland and Akron school areas.

  • 2010 - James White Cleveland School of the Arts attending Eastern Michigan University; Nathan Aviles Cleveland Heights High attending Cleveland State University.

As we continue to be led by the Spirit of God and as we move forward in our pursuit of working closely with our youth, we will not be focus on the perception of our youth worth but the belief of our youth worth.  We as adults must lead as we walk with them along the way.
